How My Journey Began
Justin Smith
In the summer of 1997 is when Justin Smith first began to notice a slight talent and passion for videography. As a way to support himself while attending college, he would film and edit weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, and make sport highlight tapes for many people in the community. However, one year latter Justin decided to relocate to Seattle, WA in pursuit of a football career with the Snohomish County Vikings, a semi - pro football team. It wouldn’t be until many years later that he would come across this passion for videography again.
In the later part of 2011, Justin and a good friend of his (John Richardson) decided to embrace the concept of Christian film making. Making their first short film, Kill Yourself and then going on to make two more shorts, Money & Power, and Peaceful Sleep. In the mist of making the second short film Justin was laid off of his job as a service manager at Steve’s Frozen Chillers. The layoff encouraged him to use his skills in video to make side money to help supplement his income. Justin’s passion for video and photo has grown substantially giving him the desire to make it his career and increase his knowledge by enrolling in film school at CSN.
He then began doing weddings for Willington Place, commercials for various churches in Las Vegas, and music videos for local Christian artist. He has also worked with Trinity Conservatory of Performing Arts, filming their musical plays, commercials, and photography. Mr. Smith is now a contracted worker for PBS and owner operator of Diligent Hands Media, doing many events, concerts, conferences, graduations, also documentaries on athletes and family. Justin now plans to build his clientele with quality work and extremely affordable prices.
